National Home Warranty
The
National will be there if you have a problem with your new home. The
National is one of the largest new home warranty providers in western
Canada. And your National warranty is underwritten by one of the largest
insurance companies in the world. The Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance
Company of Canada in partnership with National Home Warranty Programs
backs new home warranties in Canada’s four western provinces. National
Home Warranty Programs have been delivering new home warranties in
Alberta since 1990. In 1995, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
recognized the National as the first warranty provider approved by
CMHC to offer warranty coverage across Canada. That same year, the
National began serving builders and homebuyers in British Columbia.
Today, some 2000 builders in the four western provinces have chosen
the National as their warranty provider. And it’s not just builders
who are choosing the National. Some of the largest banks and mortgage
lending companies in the West encourage their builder and developer
clients to do business with the National.
Canadian Standards Association
The Canadian Standards Association functions as a neutral third party, providing a structure and a forum for developing the standard for new home construction in Canada. Our standards are living documents, continually revised and refreshed to address changing requirements and emerging technologies. Each standard is reviewed at least every five years as part of our process of continual improvement. Our goal is to develop standards that meet the needs of Canadians and are used from coast to coast.
